Nell curates Age of Exploration: Baroque Music of Spain & Latin America for Chamber Fest

Age of Exploration: Baroque Music of Spain & Latin America

This year, ChamberFest will feature the works of the Spanish and Latin American Baroque. Soprano Nell Snaidas, praised by the New York Times for her “vocally ravishing” performances, curates this program which will take us from the Spanish Baroque to the music of Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico in the New World. Joining Nell will be Daniel Swenberg on lute and theorbo, Rex Benincasa with all things percussive, Francisco Fullana and Siwoo Kim on violin, and Michelle Djokic playing cello-continuo. This is certainly a destination event. Our first offering is a free open rehearsal in the charming Free Library of New Hope on Friday, September 13 at 10:30 AM. That same evening at 6:00 PM we will present a “Musical Offering” of baroque works to be discovered by you like a box of truffles in the magical setting of The Chapel at Kings Oaks. On the evening of Saturday, September 14 will be the main offering of our Fandango in the Barn at Glen Oaks Farm where the music will be ringing from the rafters.

2 very special days in 2 extraordinary locations and 3 incredible musical experiences.
